Job Summary:
The Human Resource Manager at Lotus Salon Company will oversee the full spectrum of HR operations including recruitment, employee engagement, training, payroll coordination, and compliance. Key Responsibilities:
Recruitment & Staffing:

Develop and execute recruitment strategies to attract skilled salon professionals (stylists, beauticians, managers, etc.).

Collaborate with franchise outlets to fulfill staffing requirements.

Conduct interviews and manage end-to-end hiring process.
Employee Onboarding & Induction:

Ensure smooth onboarding and orientation for new employees.

Create onboarding kits and conduct HR policy training for new joiners.
Training & Development:

Identify training needs and coordinate upskilling programs for salon staff.

Organize workshops on customer service, grooming, hygiene, and product knowledge.
Performance Management:

Monitor employee performance and implement appraisal systems.

Manage probation reviews, goal setting, and performance improvement plans.
Employee Relations & Engagement:

Promote a healthy work culture across all salon branches.

Handle grievances and mediate conflict resolution.

Organize staff engagement programs, reward & recognition activities.
Compliance & Policy Management:

Ensure labor law compliance, employee documentation, and company policy adherence.

Maintain updated employee records and enforce disciplinary actions where required.
Payroll & Attendance:

Oversee attendance systems and ensure timely payroll coordination with the accounts team.

Franchise Support:

Support HR functions across franchise salons in different regions.

Standardize HR policies and practices across all outlets.
HR Strategy & Planning:

Contribute to strategic planning regarding workforce expansion, retention, and talent pipeline.

Assist in designing organization structures as the company scales.
Salon-Specific Talent Management:

Develop talent retention strategies tailored for stylists, beauticians, and salon staff.

Work closely with salon heads to assess skill gaps and succession planning.
HR Audits & Compliance:

Conduct internal HR audits to ensure franchisees follow company HR policies.

Prepare for and manage external audits or inspections (e.g., ESI, PF, labor department).
Digital HR Systems:

Oversee implementation and management of HR software for attendance, payroll, and employee lifecycle.

Train salon managers on digital HR tools and processes.
Health, Safety, and Wellness:

Ensure compliance with health and safety regulations across all salon locations.

Develop staff wellness initiatives and mental health support programs.
Exit Management:

Manage smooth offboarding processes including final settlements and exit interviews.

Analyze exit data to reduce attrition and improve retention.
Recruitment Marketing & Employer Branding:

Build the Lotus Salon employer brand to attract high-quality candidates.

Coordinate social media and job portal campaigns for talent acquisition.
Diversity & Inclusion:

Promote diversity in hiring and build inclusive workplace practices.

Conduct awareness training for salon teams on inclusive customer service.
HR Reporting & Analytics:

Generate and present monthly HR metrics (headcount, attrition, overtime, etc.) to management.

Use data insights to improve employee productivity and reduce costs.
Franchise Partner HR Support:

Provide direct HR support and consultation to franchise partners.

Create SOPs and HR manuals to guide franchisee HR operations.
Qualifications & Skills:

Bachelor’s/Master’s degree in HR Management or related field.

4–7 years of HR experience, preferably in the salon, retail, or hospitality sector.

Strong interpersonal and communication skills.

Good knowledge of labor laws and HR software.

Problem-solving and people-management abilities.
Required Skills & Qualifications:

Bachelor’s degree in Business, Marketing, or a related field (MBA preferred).

Minimum 10–15 years of experience in franchise sales or business development, preferably in the beauty, salon, or retail sectors.

Excellent communication, presentation, and negotiation skills.

Ability to travel as required for meetings and events.

Strong understanding of franchise models and regulatory requirements.
